Gio Ponti (1891 Milan -1979 Milan) had a strong vision and the confidence to create in multiple disciplines. He was an architect, industrial designer, furniture designer, painter and publisher. He spent his career exploring and creating interesting, new things. He created for nearly six decades. I admire and respect his unique talent and perseverance. Pictured above is Ponti’s apartment in Milan. Below is a floor lamp for Fontana Arte, an armchair he designed for the Hotel Parco dei Principi, and a series of tiles he did for Richard Ginori.
